About Carole Lane

When people hear about Carole Lane, they may first learn of her status as a private Cirrus SR22-G2 pilot who loves to listen to music and play the piano. She also enjoys many sports, including tennis and snow skiing. As a pilot, she is a member of Pilots for Christ, an organization that flies very ill patients and their families to medical treatment centers. Primarily, however, Carol Lane is a committed, compassionate medical professional. She regularly donates to charity, including the Skin Cancer Foundation, St. Jude's Children’s Hospital, Doctors Without Borders, the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer's Research Fund, and the Skin Disease Foundation. A working physician, she is a member of the American Society of Dermatology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the Society of Laser Medicine, the Surgery Medical Association of the State of Alabama, and the Medical Society of Monroe County, where she is currently the Secretary/Treasurer on the Executive Committee. Dr. Lane received her M.D. degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, where she tutored undergraduate students in Physics while working to graduate in the top 25% of her class. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham as well. In her spare time, Dr. Lane enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.
